The Assistant Manager, Production supports the daily operations of AAON’s manufacturing floor, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role assists in supervising teams, coordinating schedules, and maintaining quality standards across HVAC product lines. The position requires strong leadership, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. It serves as a key link between frontline employees and upper management.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business management, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC or related industries.
• Strong understanding of production planning, workflow optimization, and quality control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.

Essential Mental And Physical Functions

This role requires sustained attention to detail, decision-making under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking across the production floor, and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
