Job summary

Huck's Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations, supervise shifts, and promote customer service excellence. The role requires coordination with the Store Manager, adherence to company policies, and leadership in various store functions from merchandising to safety.

Responsibilities include scheduling, cash handling, compliance, and staff development, with opportunities to promote to Store Manager once training is complete and openings exist.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously per Best In Class standards
• Observe shift hours and help fill shifts as assigned by Store Manager
• Work the manager's days off and at least two evening shifts weekly
• Perform tasks assigned by Store Manager and communicate with staff
• Follow all laws and regulations; be a role model for associates
• Report sales, cash, or operating discrepancies to Store Manager
• Ensure associates are in proper uniform and provide excellent service
• Complete shift-change reports and record hours worked
• Record all sales, over rings, refunds; handle daily deposits as directed
• Treat associates with dignity and respect; notify Store Manager of policy issues
• Maintain store safety, security of cash/merchandise, and vendor check-in procedures
• Keep coolers, shelves, and displays stocked; price products correctly
• Maintain store appearance: floors, windows, restrooms, parking lot; report maintenance issues
• Promote Huck\'s Bucks Loyalty app to customers; assist sign-ups and redemptions
