ARTISAN is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the site team with leasing, occupancy, maintenance and financial reporting. You will coordinate on-site activities, show apartments, and ensure timely rent collections and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years in on-site leasing or property management, and strong computer skills including CRM and AppFolio. College-level education preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college-level preferred.
  • 1+ years of on-site Leasing, Assistant Manager, or Property Manager roles.
  • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook; AppFolio preferred.
  • Industry designations preferred, or willingness to maintain (CAM, CAPS, CPM).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the site team with leasing activity, occupancy, and maintenance performance.
  • Handle rent collections and timely deposits; report financials to management.
  • Inspect the community for cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal; move-in/outs.
  • Manage lease files, show apartments, and screen applications to community standards.
  • Monitor CRM and leads for timely follow-up; participate in meetings and reports.

Job description

<p>The Assistant Community Manager is accountable for providing support to the site team, including but not limited to leasing activity, occupancy, maintenance performance, rent collections, and financial performance and reporting. An exceptional Assistant Community Manager effectively manages their time and coordinates the on-site team, activities, and available resources to accomplish community objectives set forth by the Community Manager.</p> <h3>Principal Accountabilities</h3> <ul> <li>Conduct all business in accordance with ARTISAN policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.</li> <li>Assist the site team in budget adherence set forth by the Community Manager and the Regional Manager.</li> <li>Serve as the first point of contact for resident questions and relations.</li> <li>Ensure that all rents are collected when due and posted in a timely manner. Ensure all bank deposits are made in a timely manner and deposits are reported to the corporate office daily.</li> <li>Resolutely pursue past due rent collections via frequent follow up, performing evictions, liens, and monetary judgements as necessary.</li> <li>Regularly inspect community to ensure cleanliness, proper signage, safety, and overall exceptional curb appeal and presentation.</li> <li>Perform inspections for move outs and move ins.</li> <li>Conduct market research to accurately and competitively price rental rates and amenities.</li> <li>Ensure lease files are complete and executed properly.</li> <li>Attend scheduled ARTISAN management meetings, training and special events.</li> <li>Submit required reports to Regional or Community Manager as scheduled.</li> <li>Closely monitor CRM systems and lead generation to ensure timely follow-up with leads.</li> <li>Show apartment homes to prospective residents.</li> <li>Screen rental applications to ARTISAN Community standards.</li> <li>Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.</li> <li>Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed.</li> </ul> <h3>Physical Demands of the Position</h3> <p>The Assistant Community Manager will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and crouching. The Community Manager should maintain a working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and follow any procedures set forth to protect the health and safety of the on-site staff, the community, the residents, and themselves.</p> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; College-level education highly preferred.</li> <li>1+ years of on-site Leasing, Assistant Manager, or Property Manager roles.</li> <li>Strong computer proficiency including electronic communications, CRM, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Property Management Software (AppFolio preferred).</li> <li>Industry designations preferred, or willing to maintain.
