Job summary

GPM Investments, operating E-Z Mart, seeks an Assistant Manager for Store 4257 in Lubbock, TX. This full-time role offers $12.50–$14.50 per hour, weekly pay, and room to grow within retail leadership. You will support the Store Manager, lead a team, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Open availability, weekend/holiday shifts, and a Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain one) are required. Benefits include 401(k), PTO, health/dental/vision, and a $1000 sign-on bonus after six

Qualifications

• Open Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Physical readiness for tasks such as cleaning restrooms and maintaining outside areas.
• Minimum age 21+ years.
• English communication and basic math skills required.
• Willing to learn new procedures and safety standards.
• Food Safety Certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean store including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and store financials.
• Provide feedback to motivate the team.
• Other duties as assigned.
