Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Manager for our Pineville, NC location. You will support the Store Manager to achieve sales targets, recruit and develop a strong team, and drive customer engagement through in-store promotions, BOPIS, and curbside pickup.

You’ll balance operational leadership with a people-first approach, monitor shrink and payroll, and collaborate with HQ on trends and feedback to improve performance and the guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, operations, and people development skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager to hit sales plans and comp goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Promote products and promotions, drive customer engagement (BOPIS and curbside pickup).
• Lead operational excellence: scheduling, payroll, shrink prevention.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy.
• Merchandise the store with planograms and ensure on-time promos.
• Develop a high-performing team focused on customer experience.
