Job summary

Hammer & Nails is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Assistant Manager to oversee daily salon operations and serve as a visible leader on the floor. You will lead by example to engage guests, build loyal memberships, and support the Store Manager in driving business growth.

Responsibilities include driving membership sales, elevating guest experience, supervising operations, coaching staff, tracking inventory and finances, and enforcing health and safety standards in a luxury grooming

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 2 years in supervisory, assistant management, or team lead roles in luxury hospitality, high-end retail, salon, or beauty.
• Sales mindset: comfortable with soft, consultative sales to grow memberships.
• Communication: excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with high-end clients.
• Organization: sharp analytical thinking, multitasking, and handling shift variations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Membership Sales: Engage with guests, listen to their needs, confidently communicate the value of our luxury services, and convert relationships into loyal memberships.
• Elevate the Guest Experience: Greet clients, ensure premium hospitality standards, handle customer feedback, and foster positive, long-term bonds.
• Oversee Daily Operations: Support the manager in supervising team workflows, maintaining shop appearance, and keeping daily activities running flawlessly.
• Coach and Develop the Team: Assist in training and onboarding new hires (concierge staff, barbers, stylists), coaching them to recognize sales and hospitality opportunities.
• Inventory and Financial Tracking: Monitor cosmetics, grooming products, and supply availability; assist with order tracking, weekly/monthly revenue reporting, and cost control.
• Enforce Compliance: Ensure the lounge strictly follows health, safety, and security protocols alongside company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of supervisory, assistant management, or team lead experience, preferably in a luxury hospitality, high-end retail, salon, or beauty industry environment.
• Sales Mindset: Comfortable having soft, consulting-based sales conversations; motivated by hitting membership growth goals.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to build trust with high-end clients and collaborate effectively with staff.
• Organizational Abilities: A sharp analytical mindset with the ability to multitask, problem-solve under pressure, and manage shift variations efficiently.
