Job summary

Down the Street Eats is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in maintaining high restaurant standards and guest experience at our Winter Park locations. You will help develop staff, drive operational excellence, and ensure top-tier customer service across our Grand County operations.

Responsibilities include upholding health and safety codes, training staff, and managing daily operations such as opening/closing, cash handling, and POS tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, motivation, self-direction, and results-driven mindset.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy setting.
• Proficient with POS systems and related software.
• Experience developing team members and delivering customer service excellence.
• Leadership experience: 1+ year in management or supervision.
• Ability to uphold health code regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in developing staff potential and driving operational excellence.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and handling standards are met.
• Oversee opening/closing duties, cash handling, and stocking protocols.
• Prepare change orders, daily reports, deposits, and supervise POS operations.
• Work with team to ensure prompt, reliable service for every guest.
