Job summary

FAIRVALUE is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Director in all aspects of store operations, including enforcing policies and ensuring high standards of service.

Responsibilities include cash and inventory control, rotation of perishables across grocery, dairy, frozen, and HBC departments, and stepping in as acting manager in the Store Director's absence. Requires strong leadership and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent, preferred.
• Three plus years' retail grocery experience.
• Knowledge of DSD/Scanning Operations; Knowledge of front end operations.

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND MISSION STATEMENT:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Director in all phases of store operations including enforcement of all policies and standards of FAIRVALUE. Assists the Store Director with cash and inventory control as well as maintaining FAIRVALUE's high standards of customer service. Is responsible for rotation of all perishable product in the grocery, dairy, frozen food and HBC departments. Responsible for the entire store in the Store Director's absence. Has directly authority over all store associates in the Store Director's absence. Reports to the Store Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Education

• High school graduation or equivalent, preferred.
• Knowledge of DSD/Scanning Operations
• Knowledge of front end operations

Experience

• Three plus years' retail grocery experience.
