GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Charlottesville area convenience store. You will support the Store Manager across daily operations, run the register, and ensure superior customer service with a proactive, can-do attitude.

You’ll coach a growing team, hire and train staff, and step in as acting manager when needed. The role demands open availability, including weekends and holidays, with a focus on leading by example in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and store deposits.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate excellence.
