Jacksons Food Stores is seeking an Assistant Manager in Idaho Falls to support store operations alongside the Store Manager. The role emphasizes strong leadership, customer service excellence, and effective communication to drive results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Available for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Prior leadership in food service or retail.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Driver license preferred.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco.
• Ability to foster teamwork and adapt to change.
• Strong customer service passion.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers.
• Lead, train, and supervise store staff.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Promote store specials and suggest purchases.
• Ensure sanitation and proper food handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock in all areas.
• Process sales and cash handling per policy.
• Prepare deposits and weekly supplier orders.
• Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Work weekends and other shifts as needed.
• Manage foodservice programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Operate cash register and store equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
