GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for a convenience store in Salem, IL. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, run the register, coach a team, and help with inventory, merchandising, and scheduling to ensure smooth store performance across shifts.

This fast-paced role requires open availability on weekends and holidays, a valid driver’s license, and a Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays, and second/third shifts.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance for deposits.
• Physical readiness for cleaning restrooms, trash, and outdoor areas.
• Minimum age 21+.
• English communication and basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and obtain Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing customer-service team.
• Act as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store and pump areas.
• Create and manage team schedules.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits.
• Provide leadership to motivate the team.
• Other duties as assigned
