Job summary

World Market in Mobile, AL seeks an Assistant Manager to lead a customer-first selling culture and drive sales profitability. You will partner with the Store Manager to coach a high-performance team while upholding our brand, policies, and standards.

Responsibilities include leading in areas such as Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations and Merchandising, with daily priorities and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience delivering sales and operations results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach in real time.
• Ability to analyze trends and act on opportunities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily store priorities.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a customer-first selling culture with engagement and brand values.
• Analyze trends using reports to identify opportunities and act.
• Uphold World Market culture, values, and policies.
• Plan and execute daily tasks in absence of the Store Manager.
• Recruit and develop a high-performance, customer-focused team.
• Train and validate team execution of key business functions.
• Maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory initiatives.
• Support a safe work environment with ongoing safety training.
