Job summary

Overview

Be the right hand of your Centre Manager and have a positive influence across various aspects of the Service. Take your first steps into Centre Leadership with our Assistant Manager roles. Work closely alongside our Centre Managers and have a positive influence across various aspects of the Service. Build on your leadership and personal communication skills whilst assisting to provide all necessary support to the wider team, families and children, as well as contributing to the professional development needs of team members.

Responsibilities

• Planning, implementing and evaluating programs through a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Leading a team of Educators ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for children across all rooms
• Engaging with children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development
• Motivating and supporting a team of educators to meet our quality principles of curriculum and documentation
• Building and maintaining a team‑oriented approach by being open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflective upon best practice
• Bringing a friendly, mature and professional approach to everything you do
• Ensuring the centre provides a safe and welcoming space that children, educators and parents want to be in
• Supporting the Centre Manager in completing necessary administration tasks related to centre operations and compliance
• Running the service in the absence of the Centre Manager including bookings, rostering, parent communication and other relevant duties
