Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will train and assist other employees to ensure quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient setting while delivering enjoyable guest experiences.

Responsibilities include supervising Team Members, coordinating staffing, inventory, and administrative tasks, and upholding standards in appearance and service. A strong customer-service orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• Irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays required.
• General knowledge of restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Good communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; able to multitask and solve problems.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to meet operational standards in all aspects of food service.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices; performs opening/closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and documentation.
• Reinforces customer service mindset; ensures employees focus on serving customers.
• Responds promptly to guest requests and reports complaints to supervisor.
