SONIC Drive-In in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will train and coach team members, direct staff, and ensure quality food for a clean, safe, efficient guest experience.

This role emphasizes leadership, staff scheduling, inventory management, and hands-on problem solving to keep service fast and friendly for every guest.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year in retail management.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy and multi-task.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operational standards in all areas of food service.
• Monitors compliance with the employee handbook and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Maintains files, records and required documentation.
• Reinforces a customer service mentality and focuses on guest satisfaction.
• Responds promptly to guest requests and helps resolve complaints.
