Job summary

Hunter Mountain is hiring for the Ski & Ride School for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. Instructors will oversee daily instruction, develop curricula, and schedule groups while supporting coaching staff.

The role requires PSIA/AASI certification, a High School diploma or GED, and 1–3 years of instructor experience plus supervisory experience. English fluency and a flexible schedule are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
  • USSS Level 100 or higher.
  • 1–3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School, including curriculum development, scheduling, and coaching assignments.
  • Assist with administrative duties: hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Monitor instructor performance and provide feedback or escalation as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies; prioritize safety.
  • Coordinate with management, departments, and third parties as needed.
  • Participate in leadership forums to provide feedback on operations and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily instruction at Ski and Ride School including curriculum development for athletes, scheduling, and assigning coaches in the appropriate groups and providing support with instruction as needed
  • Assist with administrative duties including hiring, scheduling, training, payroll, managing equipment inventory and reporting on guest feedback.
  • Monitor and document instructor performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, including recognition, correction action, or escalation if necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Adhere to all safety related programs including policy training and incident reporting
  • Coordinate with other management, departments, and third-party organizations as needed
  • Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on school operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required
  • USSS Level 100 or higher
  • 1-3 years ski/snowboard instructor experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Able to meet the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English

The expected pay range is$25.00 - $32.14. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
