LegitScript is seeking an Assistant Manager, Certification, to partner with the Manager, Certification, in building a high-performing team. You will oversee people management, drive new processes, and ensure efficient operations across the certification function.

You will coach staff, develop SOPs, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights to leadership. A 4-year degree and experience in a compliance-related role support success in this position.

Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Certification, plays a crucial role in partnering with the Manager, Certification, to maintain a productive and efficient work environment and contribute to LegitScript's overall success. This position oversees people management responsibilities, fostering a high-performing team and a culture of collaboration. Working alongside the Manager and the broader Certification leadership team, the Assistant Manager will drive, supervise, and implement new processes.

What You’ll Do:
  • Proactively partner with the Manager to meet team goals, including optimizing the team's operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage, guide, and coach team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain process-related documentation, including SOPs and job aids.
  • Monitor team and business performance, analyze data, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, addressing concerns and recognizing achievements.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop employees in collaboration with the Manager, ensuring strong engagement and clear performance expectations.
  • Approve timecards each pay period.
  • Lead employee one-on-ones and team meetings, addressing concerns and fostering a respectful environment.
  • Provide coverage for the Manager, Certification in their absence.

  • Stay informed of market trends and effectively share subject matter expertise with the team.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through research, reading, and external learning opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and collaborating with others to resolve them through process improvement or targeted training.
  • Strong people management skills and a genuine passion for developing staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead discussions in both group settings and one-on-ones.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and oversee large-scale or long-term projects, managing stakeholder relationships and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Experience leading — directly or indirectly — or playing a key role in guiding a team through change.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including macOS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic market with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships while setting and upholding high performance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple, potentially competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in professional writing, including experience reviewing others' written work.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Open to candidates with a 4-year college degree in business, analytics, or an equivalent combination of education or experience. We value practical skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for learning, regardless of formal education.
  • Two years of experience in a compliance-related role or industry
