Tannersville Burger King is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the GM in daily restaurant operations. The role emphasizes service excellence, inventory and cash control, and maintaining a sharp, customer-friendly image.
Responsibilities include staff coaching, scheduling, hiring support, and ensuring health and safety standards are met, while driving sales and promotional activities to meet targets.
Responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers with an entrepreneurial, sales-driven spirit for the company. A key priority includes assisting the GM in the daily operation of the restaurant. Under the direction of the GM, this position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance and completing daily paperwork.
Assures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers, responds to customer complaints and solicits customer feedback and input. Regularly coaches the team to provide and maintain a consistent high level of customer service.
Maintains a facility that is consistently “inspection ready” in all areas including food preparation, restrooms and all guest contact areas. Complies and maintains all Department of Health, internal company and brand inspection standards. Follows daily Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to quickly recognize and remove potential safety hazards to customers, employees and vendors while operating in a manner that does not put company property and assets at risk.
Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances. Responsible for establishing a consistent high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional restaurant image.
Assists the GM in the hiring of new team members to meet the needs of the business and maintain a well‑staffed restaurant. Assures the restaurant has a well‑trained staff to meet and exceed operational standards.
Under the direction of the GM, the AM is responsible for maintaining inventories and store appearance. Treat inventory as if it is cash. All inventory variances are researched, discussed and reported to the GM as early as possible. Makes sure all storage areas are clean and products are well organized and labeled with the date received.
Provides support to the GM in meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. This involves setting individual sales goals, holding contests for employees and offering sales promotions. Executes all marketing activities to include POP, suggestive selling and new‑item training rollouts.
Assists the GM with schedules to assure all shifts are covered and properly staffed. Coordinates daily assignments and activities of associates based on sales.
Assures proper execution of all cash management activities, including accurate cash handling, credit card processing and safety procedures. Any unexplained cash shortage over $10 must be reported to GM or District Manager (DM), Restaurants.
Strives to be the best in the brand. Keeps the restaurant in compliance with all brand standards. Maintains a safe, clean work environment. Passes all internal operations training and paperwork audits. Ensures all brand‑sponsored inspections are at or above brand standards. Provides superior customer service to all guests. Analyzes results and trends to prepare action plans, leverage the store’s strengths and address areas of opportunity.
