Job summary

Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas seeks an Assistant Manager to lead and train the Banquet Beverage staff, ensuring operations run efficiently under cost controls and health standards. You will manage events, staffing, inventory and compliance, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will supervise, coach and develop team members, maintain brand standards, and coordinate with other departments to support events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position in a high end, high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant beverage or banquet department.
• Must communicate, read and write in English fluently; 2nd language a plus.
• Strong computer skills required in Excel, Word, Delphi, Kronos.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute bar events, ordering, daily payroll and other duties assigned.
• Facilitates daily pre-shift with staff members.
• Plan, organize and monitor the set-up, service and breakdown of all banquet bar functions.
• Evaluate and meet staffing needs, train team members and uphold Wynn hospitality standards.
• Maintain inventory and supplies and coordinate with other operating departments.
• Ensure portable bars meet Health Department standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maximize opportunities for department and company success; uphold Wynn Standards and guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections.
• Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures and complete work orders for maintenance.
• Close out bar operations and document bar consumptions per standards.
• Maintain Wynn core values in conducting business.

Job description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for operating efficiently within pre-established cost controls, managing and training Banquet Beverage staff, and monitoring staff performance; maintain the department in accordance with Health department standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through application of Banquet service standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and effective execution of bar events, ordering, daily payroll and other duties assigned, planned or unplanned.
• Facilitates daily pre-shift with staff members
• Plan, organize and monitor the set-up, service and breakdown of all banquet bar functions
• Responsible for evaluating and meeting staffing needs, training team members and upholding Wynn hospitality standards at all times.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies as necessary to support operations, as well as communicating and coordinating with any and all operating departments.
• Responsible for ensuring that all portable bars meet the regulatory Health Department standards for cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Maximizing opportunities for departmental and company success; maintaining all Wynn Standards; and ensuring excellent guest and team member experience.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections offered on our menu
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering.
• Review and send bar consumptions, complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.
• Maintain the Wynn core values in conducting business.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and in a professional manner. 2nd language a plus.
• Strong computer skills required in Excel, Word, Delphi, Kronos.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position in a high end, high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant beverage or banquet department.
• Candidate must exhibit strong motivational and developmental skills.
• Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
