Job summary

Planet Fitness in Villa Park, IL is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a team and deliver a superior member experience. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily club operations, drive service standards, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and guests.

The role requires at least one year of management experience, a relevant associate degree or equivalent, and the ability to lift 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least one year of management experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Exercise Science, Business, Kinesiology, or similar degree, or a combination of experience and education preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Continual standing and walking during your shift.
• Must be able to lift 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the General Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the entire operation and management of the Club, ensuring positive member experience, teamwork and operational excellence.
• The Assistant Manager, manages and is responsible for all aspects of the Club’s operation in the absence of the Club General Manager. To work productively as part of a team and to motivate and inspire the team to achieve club productivity and customer service goals.
• The Assistant Manager will assist with recruitment, hiring and training in order to ensure that the club is fully staffed at all times.
• Ensures excellence in Company Customer Service/Member Service at all times by consistently creating a welcoming environment for the members by greeting and assisting, as well as quickly responding to member inquires and needs.

• Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
