Job summary

Clover Food Lab in Boston is seeking an Assistant Manager to launch into leadership. You will help build and lead a team to deliver delicious, sustainable meals and exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires experience supervising in foodservice, scheduling, hiring and training, ServSafe and allergen certifications, and a passion for food. You’ll work with store teams, attend trainee sessions, and help grow Clover’s local following.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift during a part of the day when the GM is or isn’t present.
• Attend Assistant Manager training classes.
• Work with Team Leaders and Team Members to provide guest service.
• Assist with recruitment, orientation, training and development of in-store staff.
• Promote Clover through positive guest experience and store promotions.
• Oversee cash and assist in operating controls.
• Join team in day-to-day restaurant duties.

The Assistant Manager position is an entry role into leadership at Clover. Duties

All Assistant Managers Are Required To

• Lead a shift during a part of the day when the General Manager is or is not present
• Attend Assistant Manager training classes
• Work closely with Team Leaders and Team Members to provide the best possible service to guests
• Assist with recruitment, orientation, training and development of all in-store employees
• Successfully promote Clover through positive customer experience
• Assist with the management of promotions to help grow store sales and customer base
• Oversee cash
• Assist in monitoring operations and carrying out corrective actions
• Understand and follow all company policy and procedures
• Execute serving the best tasting food
• Join team in day-to-day restaurant duties

Requirements

• Experience supervising others in foodservice (at Clover or elsewhere)
• Experience with scheduling, hiring, training and developing people
• A current ServSafe Certificate
• A current Allergen Awareness Certificate
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others
• A passion for food, a positive attitude and a willingness to work to high standards
• The ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and repeated walking, bending, stretching, and occasional lifting (up to 50lbs), with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to work a varied schedule that includes nights and weekends
