Job summary

Daily Deals Food Outlet in Michigan is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations and coach the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will support the Store Manager, ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to Daily Deals standards while driving sales and merchandise presentation.

The role requires a positive leader who communicates well, manages multiple tasks, and can open, mid-shift, and close the store. Prior supervisory retail experience is a plus.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day success of the store. You’ll support the Store Manager, lead and develop team members, help create an exceptional customer experience, and ensure the store is operating safely, efficiently, and to Daily Deals standards.

A Sample of the Role:

• Support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations and achieving sales and performance goals.


• Lead, coach, train, and support store team members to help them succeed in their roles.


• Create a positive, welcoming customer experience and reinforce strong customer service standards.


• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of store employees.


• Provide direction and accountability to team members throughout the shift.


• Help ensure product is stocked, rotated, priced, and displayed according to company standards.


• Maintain attractive and engaging merchandise displays that encourage customer interest and sales.


• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs, opportunities, and concerns to leadership.


• Operate and support the Point of Sale system, cash registers, and other store systems.


• Complete cash handling and register responsibilities accurately.


• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.


• Ensure company policies, procedures, food safety standards, and operational expectations are followed.


• Support store opening and closing procedures.


• Help identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer experience, and team effectiveness.


• Communicate important store information, questions, and concerns to the Store Manager.


• Step in as a leader and decision-maker when the Store Manager is unavailable.


• Contribute to a strong team environment by supporting coworkers and leading by example.

Extra Credit Required:

• 3+ years of retail experience.


• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.


• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


• Grocery or food retail experience.


• Experience with Point of Sale systems, cash handling, inventory, or merchandising.
