MJR Digital Cinemas is seeking an Assistant Manager for Adrian Theatre in Adrian, MI. This part-time role leads by example, supporting guest service and ensuring a memorable movie-going experience.

Responsibilities include shifting operations, opening/closing tasks, coaching staff, monitoring guest satisfaction, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Previous theatre leadership is valued for strong service delivery and team development.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and leadership experience required.
• Proven track record in a leadership role within a fast-paced environment.
• 1–2 years of theatre experience preferred.
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service in a guest-focused environment.
• Ability to identify solutions, improve efficiencies, and drive results.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Understand and assist with the execution of operational policies including labor, cost of sales, revenue control, speed of service, and guest satisfaction.
• Assume the role of Manager/Mentor on Duty (MOD) when required, overseeing daily floor operations and mentoring staff.
• Encourage and model behaviors that align with the company values.
• Assign tasks and follow up to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with opening/closing the building, nightly closing paperwork, and deposits.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to enhance the movie-going experience.
• Engage in guest recovery, addressing questions and concerns from guests.
• Assist in staff selection, training, development, and employment experience.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure staff adhere to safe practices.
• Support maintenance of emergency, safety, and security procedures.
• Ensure theater remains compliant with state and federal regulations including labor laws, health and safety codes, and accessibility requirements.
• Assist with other daily floor management issues as needed.

The Assistant Manager position is an integral part of the success of our team. A detail-oriented and collaborative leader who is driven by results and has a passion for movies and guest service. They carry building keys and maybe responsible foropening and closing the building, managing shift operations end-to-end, and ensuring our guests enjoy a perfect movie-going experience every time.
