Job summary

Saturday Properties is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our Minnesota team. You will assist the Property Manager in daily operations, support leasing and marketing, and handle resident relations while ensuring accurate reporting of payments and deposits.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to budgeted NOI and financial close activities. This is a hands-on position in our property management office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years experience in real estate, property management, or customer service fields.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and high energy to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient with computers including word processing, Excel, calendar management, and software/database.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Property Manager with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and processing of rental payments and deposits.
  • Support leasing, marketing, and resident relations efforts.
  • Meet budgeted NOI and manage resident accounts; coordinate with third-party collections as needed.
  • Attend site meetings and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close processes.

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to assist the Property Manager in effectively managing the property. The Assistant Manager is responsible for helping maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports including accurate reporting and processing of rental payments and deposits received while assisting with the property's leasing, marketing, and resident relations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Meet or exceed budgeted NOI

  • Facilitate cash management protocols:
  • Accounts receivables: track online payments, process manual payments
  • Accounts payable: financial coding, invoice entry in software, and mailing checks
  • Budget management: review budgeted activity to ensure timely invoicing
  • Manage resident delinquency
  • Late notices
  • Eviction action filing
  • Rent write-offs
  • Manage resident accounts sent to a third-party collection agency
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial closing processes to include the following functions:
  • AP/AR reconciliations
  • Reclass and accrual review
  • Monthly reforecast
  • Annual external property audit coordination with Property Accounting Manager and external CPA firms
  • Manage package software
  • Ability to analyze financial information and pay close attention to detail

Provide resident support

  • Manage move-in and move-out paperwork to ensure proper lease file and deposit account compliance
  • Resident communication regarding resident accounts
  • Manage and track changes in rentable items
  • Facilitate amenity reservations to ensure timely payment collection
  • Resident interaction and conflict resolution
  • Resident event and services coordination
  • Attend weekly site L10

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Two (2) years previous experience in real estate, property management, or other customer service-related fields
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.
  • Superior interpersonal abilities – ability to get along with diverse personalities and talent.
  • Resourceful and well organized
  • Results and people-oriented, but have sound judgment - ability to balance other considerations
  • Service-oriented, but assertive/persuasive.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with computers including word processing, excel, calendar management, software/database
