Job summary

Coma Coffee Roasters in Roseville, CA is seeking a Manager who is positive, energetic, and passionate about healthy, high-quality coffee experiences. You will train new employees, resolve problems, and drive strategic improvements in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

You’ll lead operations to ensure quality, customer experience, and efficient service, manage staff schedules, and coordinate with vendors while adhering to company standards and opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership and people management abilities.
• Experience training staff and coordinating team tasks.
• Comfort with POS systems and cash handling processes.

As the Manager, you will be doing a variety of tasks from training new employees to strategically resolving problems. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create & maintain a high-performance constructive team culture focused on quality, cleanliness, customer experience, & operational excellence
• Manage costs to hit & uphold COGs & other expense standards
• Check products to ensure consistency, palatability, and quality
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
• Project, place, schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to make sure it’s up to Company Standards
• Schedule staff hours utilizing appropriate systems/software and assign duties to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation
• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety
• Perform food preparation and service tasks
• Maintain food and equipment inventories
• Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, hire on-board & train new staff, and evaluate employee performances
• Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services with vendors & officials
• Utilize & troubleshoot POS system, operate & reconcile cash register and make bank deposits.
• Adhere to company opening and closing procedures and maintain accompanying records
