Job summary

Mphasis is seeking an experienced Investor Relations Transfers Specialist for its Alternatives/Private Markets unit in New York. The role focuses on end-to-end investor transfer processing, ownership changes, and ensuring compliance with fund documents and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will coordinate with fund administrators, legal counsel, and internal teams, maintain investor records, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and investor experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in investor relations, transfer agency, fund administration, or private markets operations.
  • Familiarity with subscription documents, transfer agreements, fund governing documents, and KYC/AML requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end investor transfer process, including reviewing transfer documentation and coordinating approvals.
  • Partner with fund administrators, legal counsel, compliance, and internal operations teams to facilitate transfers and ownership changes.
  • Review and validate transfer documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as primary contact for investors, investment managers, and intermediaries regarding transfer requests.
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements for transfers, including KYC/AML documentation and subscription activities.
  • Maintain accurate investor records across transfer agency and servicing platforms.
  • Monitor SLAs and manage high-priority/complex transfer requests.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve controls.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials.
  • Support cross-functional projects and regulatory initiatives related to investor servicing.

Job Title: Investor Relations Transfers Specialist – Alternatives/Private Markets

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investor Relations Specialist to support our Alternatives/Private Markets business with a primary focus on investor transfer activity. This role will serve as a key point of contact for investors, clients, fund managers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring investor transfers and ownership changes are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with fund-governing documents and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate may also support broader investor servicing activities and contribute to process improvements across the Investor Relations function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end investor transfer process, including reviewing transfer documentation, coordinating approvals, and ensuring timely completion of transactions.
  • Partner with fund administrators, legal counsel, compliance, and internal operations teams to facilitate investor transfers and ownership changes.
  • Review and validate transfer documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with fund documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for investors, investment managers, and intermediaries regarding transfer requests and investor servicing inquiries.
  • Coordinate onboarding requirements associated with investor transfers, including KYC/AML documentation and subscription-related activities, where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate investor records across transfer agency and investor servicing platforms.
  • Monitor service level agreements and proactively manage high-priority and complex transfer requests.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes, improve controls, and enhance the overall investor experience.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Support cross-functional projects, regulatory initiatives, and operational enhancements related to investor servicing and private market operations.
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices to promote operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in investor relations, transfer agency, fund administration, or private markets operations.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, or other alternative investment products.
  • Demonstrated experience managing investor transfers, secondary transactions, ownership changes, or investor recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with subscription documents, transfer agreements, fund governing documents, and KYC/AML requirements.
  • Knowledge of Publicly Traded Partnerships (PTP) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with investor servicing or transfer agency platforms is preferred.
