Job summary

Steel City Pizza Co - Mt Pleasant presents an opportunity to join our management team. You will lead daily restaurant operations with a strong emphasis on hospitality, food quality, and teamwork.

You’ll recruit, train, and coach staff, oversee both front and back-of-house as Manager on Duty, and support the kitchen and overall standards during peak shifts. You’ll work with the General Manager to drive sales, manage costs, and uphold our culture of excellence while ensuring a smooth guest

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar role in hospitality.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further degrees preferred.
• Background screening including Criminal, Credit, and Drug screens may be required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations focusing on hospitality, food quality, and team performance.
• Recruit, train, and coach team members to build a cohesive unit.
• Oversee Front of House and Heart of House as Manager on Duty to ensure smooth service.
• Support the kitchen and maintain standards during busy shifts.
• Collaborate with GM to drive sales, manage costs, and protect culture.

What You’ll Do

When serving as Manager on Duty, you’ll oversee both Front of House and Heart of House operations, ensuring service flows smoothly from kitchen to dining room.

You’ll support the kitchen team as needed, maintain operational standards across the entire restaurant, and make sure both guest experience and food execution stay strong during busy shifts.

You’ll partner with the General Manager to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability goals while protecting the culture of the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A.S./B.S. in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or another relevant field (not required - preferred).
• Successful completion of a background screening (Criminal Background, Credit, 5 Panel - Non-THC Drug Screen).
• Must have valid driver's license.
