Job summary

Soma is seeking an Assistant Manager at Store 5011-Town Center Plaza-Soma-Leawood in Kansas. You will support the Store Manager in building a strong team and delivering a seamless, personalized customer experience rooted in Soma’s hospitality culture.

You will lead by example on the sales floor, foster community connections, and drive store performance. The role requires 3 years of retail leadership, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, lift up to 50 pounds.

About the role

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. This position helps foster a welcoming environment—for both associates and customers—that enables us to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

You'll bring to the role

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
