Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager for an Indianapolis, Indiana location. You will focus on delivering an excellent guest experience while ensuring food is prepared and served to high standards. You will also maintain cleanliness and safety, manage inventory, schedule staff, and foster teamwork.

Daily duties include supervising a 4–12 person team, planning events, and supporting product ordering. The role offers brand discounts, scholarships, and practical career experience in a restaurant

Qualifications

• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Experience supervising staff in a restaurant.
• Computer/POS knowledge is desirable.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
