Job summary

Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Illinois is hiring team members for full-time roles. Starting wage is $18 per hour plus tips, with opportunities for pay raises after probation and room for promotion. You will be part of a fast-paced, friendly team focused on delivering great smoothies and service.

You will take orders, prepare beverages and food, maintain a clean work environment, train new staff, and assist management with events and inventory.

• Previous Shift Leader Experience Required. You are eager to lead a team
• Serv Safe Food Handler or Food Manager Certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure

Job Duties Include:

• taking customer orders with our point-of-sale system
• making food and smoothies according to brand standards
• prepping food including accurate measuring and weighing
• maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• stocking and clean-up
• Handle last-minute absences and schedule changes
• Train and coach new employees
• Assigning duties to staff during shifts
• Perform food safety temperature checks
• Prepares nightly deposit and completes closing tasks
• Prepares weekly orders and manages deliveries
• Performs weekly inventory
• Assists the General Manager with monitoring labor and food costs
• Assists the General Manager with daily operations
• Assists the General Manager in preparing for events and promotions

Salary:

• Starting $18 per hour plus hourly tips (Averaging $2.10 per hour extra and increasing!!).
