Job summary

Popeyes is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead restaurant operations, drive profitability, ensure guest service excellence, and develop team members. The AM reports to the Restaurant General Manager and oversees 20–45 hourly staff across shifts, ensuring compliant, efficient operations and brand standards.

The role emphasizes inventory control, cash handling, maintenance, and coaching to boost store performance while sustaining a positive guest experience and rapid service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred.
• 1–2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience, management preferred.
• Some understanding of P&L interpretation and management to influence profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manages inventory costs and maintains inventory through daily, weekly and monthly inspections.
• Places and receives inventory truck orders and tracks restaurant assets.
• Ensures preventative maintenance of facility and equipment per company standards.
• Upholds cash control and security procedures (e.g., safe counting, cash drawers).
• Motivates and directs team to deliver accurate, fast, friendly service in a clean facility.
• Provides coaching and feedback to Shift Coordinators and Team Members to raise performance.
• Directs team toward efficient preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within speed guidelines.
• Performs duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when necessary.

POSITION OVERVIEW:The Assistant Manager (AM) is the operations leader of the restaurant focused on profitability, Guest service, people development and operations management. The AM supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in managing the daily operations of a single restaurant, driving key performance outcomes.
