Responsibilities

• Maintain records related to deliveries, service appointments, inventory, and orders.
• Assist with supervising and coordinating employees to meet daily operations.

The Hayes County Cooperative is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join their team in Hayes Center, Nebraska! The Assistant Manager must have a Class B CDL with Tanker, Haz Mat and Air Brakes endorsements.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules and priorities. They should be flexible and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities, from customer service to deliveries, and be ready to help wherever needed.

Assistant Manager Compensation & Benefits:

Assistant Manager Job Duties:

• Coordinate and schedule fuel, propane, fertilizer, and tire service appointments with local customers.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, including local farmers and agricultural businesses.
• Operate fuel and propane delivery trucks to safely and efficiently complete customer deliveries.
• Deliver fertilizer and contracted fuel products to farms, businesses, and residential customers as scheduled.
• Perform tire repair and replacement services in the shop and in the field for passenger vehicles, trucks, tractors, irrigation pivots, and other agricultural equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including oil changes and other basic servicing.
• Operate and maintain delivery trucks in accordance with company, DOT, and safety requirements.
• Assist with supervising and coordinate employees to ensure daily operations and customer needs are met.
• Educate and assist customers with the selection and purchase of merchandise, including feed, fencing equipment, gates, panels, farm supplies, and grass and forage seed.
• Maintain accurate records related to deliveries, service appointments, inventory, and customer orders.
• Assist with day-to-day operations and perform additional duties as needed to support the business.

Assistant Manager Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The Assistant Manager must have their Class B CDL license, with Tanker, Haz Mat and Air Brakes endorsements and an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. The Truck Driver will be subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
