This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by The Koury Family of McDonald’s Restaurants and not McDonald’s USA. The DEPARTMENT MANAGER position is located in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant.

Department Manager Responsibilities

• Lead shifts each week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, safe and friendly experience.
• Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to the team and other managers.
• Oversee guest service, ensuring crew and managers deliver great customer experiences and promotions are executed well.
• Manage front counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru operations to maximize service efficiency.
• Ensure kitchen staff meet quality, service time, and cost control standards; train them on new menu items.
• Handle recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition of restaurant crew.
• Conduct “Best First Week” orientation and motivate crew throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Previous McDonald’s management experience required.
• Preferred courses: Leadership Transitions (LT), Food Safety, OTP – but training will be provided if not already completed.
• Positive team player with flexible schedule, passion for fast‑paced environments.
• Minimum age 18 years.
