Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Front of House and Back of House managers, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and in line with Beer Barrel standards.

This hands-on leadership role oversees scheduling, training, customer service, health and safety, and cost control across FOH and BOH, with a focus on coaching teams and upholding an inclusive, guest‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or lead role in a restaurant/hospitality environment
• Demonstrated ability to support and work alongside diverse teams with a coaching and development mindset
• Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service safety; certifications preferred
• Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and a track record of contributing to operational goals
• Positive, energetic presence that supports the team and connects with guests
• Proficiency in basic business math, scheduling, inventory management, and computer systems

Assistant Manager

Goal

The Assistant Manager supports the Front of House Manager and Back of House Manager in keeping daily operations running smoothly and in alignment with Beer Barrel standards. This role assists both management teams in promoting a positive guest experience, contributing to operational consistency, and helping meet cost, labor, and training goals. The AM serves as an approachable, hands‑on presence across the restaurant - stepping in wherever support is needed to help the FOH and BOH management teams succeed every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist the FOH and BOH managers with day‑to‑day operations, helping ensure both sides of the restaurant run smoothly and in line with Beer Barrel standards
• Support scheduling, inventory, and ordering needs across FOH and BOH, helping the management team stay on track with labor and cost goals
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace
• Assist in maintaining compliance with health, sanitation, food safety, and alcohol service standards
• Support the management team on facility needs, shift communication, and any follow‑through items as needed
• Help develop team members and emerging leaders through company programs and day‑to‑day coaching

Work Environment

• Full‑time, exempt salaried position
• Reports to the Front of House Manager and Back of House Manager, within a structure led by the Operating Partner
• 100% in‑person role
• Expected to be an active, supportive presence across both FOH and BOH throughout all operating hours
