Electrical – Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Experience: 8 – 10 years

Location: Remote

Job Description:

1. Study and understand the project contract specifications. Plan and control all site commissioning activities to meet deadlines and project closure.
2. Collaborate with the project team to execute testing and commissioning activities within scheduled timelines.
3. Conduct kick-off meetings with the project team regarding manpower, equipment, and scheduling requirements for commissioning.
4. Prepare SOPs, formats, and checklists for testing and commissioning activities.
5. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies at the site for smooth testing processes during multiple site testing plans.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards for testing and commissioning.
7. Possess subject matter expertise in operations such as WTG, Inverter, Power Transformers, IDT, HT/LT/CRP/SAS/PLC Panels, CT/CVT, PT, Circuit Breakers, Wave traps, Isolators, LA’s, Transmission & Distribution systems.
8. Perform Site Acceptance Tests according to requirements and compare results with Factory Acceptance Test reports to ensure product healthiness.
9. Coordinate promptly with OEM/supporting teams to resolve issues during testing and commissioning.
10. Conduct training sessions on testing and commissioning for the site team regularly.
11. Ensure calibration validity and physical condition of measuring equipment.
12. Maintain a minimum list of commissioning spares.
13. Complete SAT reports accurately and timely for all equipment, maintaining proper documentation with signatures.
14. Prepare lessons learned and RCA reports for incidents related to commissioning works.
15. Post-commissioning, monitor equipment performance to ensure proper operation.
16. Provide technical support to operational plants for critical issues.
17. Maintain data management skills, including MS Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
18. Communicate proficiently in English and Hindi.
