Job description

The primary technical expert responsible for ensuring excellence in complex fund accounting services through expertise and final review authority. This role serves as the ultimate subject matter expert for the team on complex accounting matters, leading technical decisions and process innovations while providing authoritative guidance on sophisticated client portfolios and advanced accounting modules.

Core Responsibilities:

• Review fund accounting reports and other deliverables using prescribed guidelines and guidance
• Maintain accurate and timely processing of fund accounting transactions
• Support the review of fund accounting operations following established procedures
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, addressing queries and issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, statutory requirements and internal policies
• Establish and maintain technical best practices
• Maintain strong knowledge of client-specific requirements
• Drive technical excellence and innovation in the processes
• Lead development of technical standards and methodologies within the team
• Review and ensure data accuracy in client reports and dashboards
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development discussions for direct reports

Tasks:

• Final review and sign-off of fund accounting activities and calculations
• Document exceptions, prepare error reports, and propose corrective actions
• Coordinate with team members and clients on deadlines and deliverables
• Represent the team in meetings and internal discussions
• Address complex client issues, making decisions and escalating when necessary
• Review and approve standard operating procedures
• Monitor review comments and queries, ensuring timely resolution
• Assist in client onboarding and change requests
• Monitor client deliverables as per SLAs
• Stay updated on methodologies, standards, and regulations
• Review staff schedules, manage time, and track progress
• Participate in training programs
• Collaborate across functions and support product development with documentation
• Minimize risk by ensuring procedural compliance
• Provide timely feedback to team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred

Professional Experience:

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in performance analytics, fund accounting, or financial reporting, focusing on complex portfolios and advanced modules

Proven expertise in technical accounting and process innovation
