Job summary

Subway Team Member Trainee in Connecticut is responsible for providing an excellent guest experience, ensuring great food is prepared and served, and maintaining a clean, functional restaurant environment. You will also assist with inventory, scheduling, and staff supervision under guidance.

You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities and gain hands-on career experience in a restaurant business.

Qualifications

• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Experience in inventory management and maintaining standards.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Trainee will focus on seven main things:

In addition to this role, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-6 including evaluating work, coaching, and driving continuous improvement
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
