Job summary

The Liberty Group is hiring experienced Assistant Community Managers to support leasing, resident relations, and rent collections at apartment communities. This role is based in the Asheville area and offers hourly pay between $20 and $22 depending on experience.

Required: 6+ months of apartment or multi-family leasing experience, familiarity with Fair Housing and leasing best practices, and valid government‑issued ID.

Responsibilities

• Collect rent and ancillary fees; assist with delinquency follow-up and collections
• Post income and deposits accurately and on time
• Support move-out inspections and unit file documentation
• Assist with leasing: tours, follow-up, applications, and resident communication
• Provide strong customer service to residents and prospects
• Support day-to-day office operations and administrative needs

Pay ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.

• 6+ months apartment / multi-family leasing experience
• Familiar with Fair Housing and leasing best practices
• Valid government-issued ID
• Comfortable with rent collection, resident communication, and office systems
• (If required) Available to work weekends / peak office hours

What you’ll do

Preferred (not required)

• Apartment software experience (Yardi, RealPage/OneSite, MRI, AppFolio, etc.)
• Luxury, lease-up, rehab, or tax credit (LIHTC) exposure
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a strong plus
