Job Description

The Assistant Maintenance Technician is a crucial piece of the unit turn process. They will work directly with the maintenance team to ensure the property is operating efficiently and all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with all groundskeeping, general repairs, carpentry, and painting requirements of the property.

Responsibilities

1. Work directly with the maintenance turn team to ensure all vacant units are painted and serviced quickly to be put back on the market for re-rental.
2. Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all assigned requests are completed successfully and promptly.
3. Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by completing a range of tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, general repairs, and other activities as needed.
4. Maintain grounds, amenity areas and breezeways.
5. Work at a fast pace without impacting quality, ensuring enough time for other maintenance personnel to complete their functions in the make-ready process.
6. Develop a rapport with residents by providing superior customer service.
7. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
8. Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing).

Requirements

1. 1 year of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
2. Excellent time management skills, can easily conform to shifting priorities and timelines.
3. Valid U.S. driver’s license.
4. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
5. Experience with paint sprayer equipment a plus.
