Conifer Realty is seeking self-motivated ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to begin their next career with us to support our apartments.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Maintaining indoor and outdoor maintenance and clean presentation of this community.
2. Indoor maintenance will include completing routine painting, carpentry, drywall, cleaning, minor plumbing, basic electrical, flooring, and other maintenance activities in response to work orders; will also prep vacant units for new residents to move-in.
3. Outdoor grounds maintenance will involve trash management, mowing, trimming shrubbery, cultivating flower beds along with snow, ice, salting and debris removal as needed.
4. Timely communication with team members for immediate follow-up on work orders.
5. Responding to emergency on-call duties on a rotational basis, within 30 minutes of on-call notification as required or assigned. May be assigned to also cover other properties for on-call coverage as needed.
6. Must be adaptable to changing work priorities to meet required project/work task deadlines.
7. Flexibility to work Overtime when assigned.
8. Must work well independently as well as on a team.
9. Monitor building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
10. Perform various cleaning and minor maintenance activities throughout the commons areas of the property to include sweeping and mopping all tile surfaces, polish as necessary all floor space, window cleaning, and vacuum carpeted areas.
11. Clean rest rooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks, floors, and restocking rest room supplies as needed.
12. Assist with cleaning when apartments turnover.
13. Remove trash and dispose of in all designated areas.
14. Ensure all cleaning supplies are safely and properly stored in appropriate areas.
15. Snow removal and emergency on-call duties as required or assigned.
16. Takes pride in performing quality work and meeting our residents’ needs.

Your Job Skills/Experience should include:

1. Minimum 2+ years prior apartment or home repair maintenance skills such as drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, basic electrical, flooring, cleaning; HVAC experience helpful or will train.
2. Minimum High School diploma/GED required.
3. Some computer skills helpful for timekeeping, emails, online training modules, and work order processing or willing to train.
4. Reliable transportation.
5. Strong time management, problem solving, communication, and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers.
6. Bilingual Spanish-speaking a plus.

The salary range for this position is $16-$17. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
