POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining retail store technologies and computer systems and peripherals within retail store and commercial environments. Responsibilities include product installation, support, and repair on Toshiba and non-TOSHIBA retail products, including store systems, retail banking, and SMB marketplaces.

The role involves customer satisfaction, metric attainment, and operational activities, including product exchange, diagnosis, repair, refurbishment, installation, relocation, and configuration changes, following established documentation and procedures. The candidate will initially work under supervision until capable of working independently.

Travel: Candidates will travel across various cities in a company-provided vehicle, including Syracuse, Palatine Bridge, Massena, and others, with potential for additional locations based on customer needs.

Hourly Pay: Starting at $21.63/hr, non-exempt role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform basic repairs and services, utilizing established procedures and tools, with occasional assistance for complex repairs.
2. Travel to customer locations for installations, relocations, and modifications.
3. Communicate effectively with customers and team members, building positive relationships.
4. Manage and complete service events efficiently, minimizing operational disruptions.
5. Plan, prioritize, and schedule work, including travel arrangements, with flexibility for varying shifts, overtime, and weekends.
6. Document installation activities accurately using automated systems.
7. Maintain and manage trunk stock for customer support.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Environmental Conditions:

• Travel to multiple locations daily.
• Lifting to 50 lbs.
• 75% standing/walking, frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Use of hand tools and possible air travel.
• Use of ladders or lifts for device access.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma + 2+ years in Electronics.
• Ability to travel 100%, including air travel.
• Knowledge of PC technology, network infrastructure, retail devices.
• Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with electronic test equipment.
• Good communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to recognize and diagnose low voltage wiring and perform repairs.
• Self-motivated with a professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and overtime as needed.
