Job summary

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance for Montfort Place Apartments in Dallas. This hands-on role supports the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and helps keep the community operating at a high standard.

Responsibilities include completing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, handling service requests, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance, plus inspections and grounds upkeep. On-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification required.
• Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and support team priorities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to participate in the rotational on-call schedule.
• Residence within a reasonable commute of Montfort Place Apartments (20–30 minutes preferred).

Compensation: $24–$26 per hour, based on experience, plus monthly performance bonuses
Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus rotational on-call

The Opportunity
