Thrive Community Management in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead hands-on maintenance operations, supervise technicians, and support daily tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and repairs.

You will balance resident satisfaction with safety and cost control while coordinating with vendors, mentoring staff, and helping run preventative maintenance programs. This role offers growth into a maintenance leadership position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance knowledge.
• EPA or HVAC certifications preferred; CPO preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and repairs.
• Prioritize and complete service requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure apartments and common areas are maintained and safe.
• Lead in absence of Maintenance Manager; coordinate work orders and vendor relations.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and budget tracking.
