Role Overview

The Assistant Maintenance Manager (AMM) oversees maintenance operations at a single site, ensuring asset reliability and safety. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager, the AMM plays a key role in maintaining site efficiency and supporting company and client goals.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

• Promote a safety-first culture through compliance, training, and safety audits.
• Manage safety metrics and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with safety specialists and site leaders on safety improvements.

Operational Excellence

• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Monitor KPIs like maintenance completion rates, breakdown resolution, and OEE.
• Ensure timely work order completion and effective issue tracking.

Leadership and Team Development

• Supervise maintenance technicians, fostering teamwork.
• Conduct regular meetings and coaching sessions.
• Identify and develop high-potential employees.

Collaboration and Client Support

• Serve as the on-site contact for maintenance issues.
• Participate in daily meetings and communicate operational updates.
• Provide feedback and suggest improvements.

Administrative Oversight

• Ensure training compliance.
• Maintain accurate data in CMMS and dashboards.
• Support inventory, warranty, and budget management.

Qualifications

Minimum: 3+ years in maintenance management, leadership skills, safety focus, effective communication. Flexibility to work all shifts.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years relevant experience, certifications (e.g., CMRP, PMP), experience with conveyor systems and robotics.

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 50 lbs., crouch, kneel, reach, and perform tasks wearing PPE.
• Walk 6-12 miles daily, climb stairs, work in varying environments.
