Job summary

AMP is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to support upkeep across apartment communities. The role maintains HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems while managing work orders and routine inspections.

Certifications in HVAC, EPA, and CPO are required, plus at least three years of general maintenance experience, including one year in apartment maintenance. The position emphasizes safety compliance, customer service, and timely response to tenant needs.

Qualifications

• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications required.
• At least three years of general maintenance experience; one year in apartment maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic electric, plumbing, drywall/painting, carpentry, ceramic/tile, and appliance installation/removal and repairs.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Ensure work orders are responded to within 24-48 hours.
• Assist Maintenance Director in routine inspections for safety and compliance with regulations.
• Respond to tenant requests with timely, courteous service.
• Comply with Federal, State, and local laws including Fair Housing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
