Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to oversee upkeep of apartment communities, performing repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems. The role ensures timely work orders, supports inspections, and upholds safety and Fair Housing compliance.

Requirements include HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications, at least three years of maintenance experience with one year in apartment settings, strong organizational and customer-service skills, and

Qualifications

• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certified required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of general maintenance experience required, including at least one (1) apartment maintenance experience.
• Experience with turnovers/make-readies in multifamily property is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, dry wall, and pool.
• Ensure work orders are responded to within 24-48 hours and completed promptly.
• Assist Maintenance Director with routine property inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Respond to tenant requests promptly with excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
