Job summary

Amp Corporate Site in Central Austin seeks an Assistant Maintenance Director to oversee repairs and maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems. The role requires HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications, plus at least three years of general maintenance experience, including one year in apartment maintenance.

You will supervise work orders, inspections, and safety compliance, while delivering excellent tenant service in a hands-on, outdoor-friendly

Qualifications

HVAC/EPA/CPO certifications are required.
Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience; at least 1 year in apartment maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with turnovers/make-readies in multifamily a plus.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems.
Respond to work orders within 24–48 hours and complete promptly.
Assist Maintenance Director with routine inspections ensuring safety and compliance.
Address tenant requests promptly with strong customer service.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including Fair Housing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
