Job summary

AMP Corporate Site is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to oversee upkeep of apartment communities in Austin, TX. You will perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and pool systems while ensuring safety compliance and timely work orders.

The role requires HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications and at least three years of maintenance experience, including one year in multifamily properties, with strong organizational and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications required.
• 3+ years of general maintenance experience; at least 1 year in apartment maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems.
• Respond to work orders within 24–48 hours and complete tasks promptly.
• Assist Maintenance Director with routine inspections to ensure safety standards and compliance.
• Address tenant requests in a timely manner, delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
