Job summary

Veritiv in Chicago, IL, is seeking a 2nd Press Operator to assist the press team with make-ready, press operation, and quality control. You will read job tickets, verify stock and ink against specs, and ensure samples and pull sheets meet SOPs.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work nights/weekends as needed. Join Veritiv to contribute to on-time production, maintain color accuracy, and support maintenance activities with the press crew.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret job tickets and color specs.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior press experience preferred (2–4 years).

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators with press make ready and operate press based upon written instructions provided.
• Perform folder set ups and maintain press register and color.
• Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications.
• Verify that stock and ink match job specs on ticket.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures according to SOPs.
• Ensure samples are pulled and labeled according to SOPs.
• Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Assist in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
