Job description

The Clark Memorial Library is seeking an Assistant Librarian.

This is a part-time position, 18 hours per week, with Saturday and occasional evening hours.

Qualified candidates must have the following:

• A positive, service-oriented attitude and excellent customer skills
• A MLS from an ALA-accredited program or are in the final semester of earning a degree
• Experience working in a public library setting
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Candidate must be flexible and creative
• Working knowledge with the operation of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer (desktop, laptop, tablet); computer related peripherial equipment; Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• A working knowledge of Koha/Aspen is desirable
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and move materials and furniture as required

Duties will include:

• Working at the circulation desk

• Helping with adult and children's programming
• Performing other duties as assigned and consistent with this position

Salary statrs at $23.00/ hour.
